If AAP truly wishes to be different, it needs to rethink its protest strategy to ensure proper coordination among its followers.

However much AAP leaders say, one cannot foolproof screening of followers. You can screen only top level leaders. In the lower levels, lumpen elements will always percolate and AAP simply leaders cannot help it. The detention of Arvind Kejriwal may be right or wrong. If AAP followers feel it was wrong, they should have sent about 10 higher level leaders to sit in front of BJP office on dharna. Calling a huge crowd through SMSs, which include these lumpen elements, to gather in front of BJP office is wrong and likely to flare up into violence on both sides because the people who are surrounded by others will have siege mentality. Crowd control by sub-leaders is difficult. Of course I agree all parties do this. But if AAP wants to be DIFFERENT, as the leaders claim. they should invent new tactics for such protests. Just following the same protest techniques, what Bajrang Dal followers follow, does not make AAP a DIFFERENT party. The top leaders of AAP should sit down and devise new techniques for protests.

Prashant Bhushan’s explanation was stupid. It is like a rapist’s mother saying that her son is innocent. DO NOT GIVE TEMPLATE EXPLANATIONS FOR WRONGS DONE. Some of us are sick of hearing the same explanations said with a pretended aggrieved face.
If there is mistake in policies or actions, AAP should have the guts to accept them as it is a DIFFERENT party.
