In Kumkum Bhagya, the male protagonist, Abhi is nothing compared to the Hero we usually visualize or dream about. On the contrary, the show’s female protagonist, Pragya is the actual hero in the serial. No wonder, she keeps on fighting to save Abhi. Whil, Abhi most of the time keeps on wondering as to what is happening around him. Sometimes we even wonder why is Shabbir Ahluwallia playing this silly character.
This is the reason why we want Abhi Mehra to change in the show, after all he is the man of the house. Here are some of the changes which we would want in him as soon as possible. Hope the writers do not ignore. Here we go:
Why So Emotional?
In the start, we saw how brave, smart and haughty, Abhi Mehra was. Everybody was scared about him. He was confident and didn’t give heed to any nonsense. However, now, the young man has changed totally, so much that everybody fools him. He is so emotional now that people take it as his weakness. We just hope he comes back in his normal form soon. Why so emotional, Abhi?
Abhi Has the Tendency of Trusting the Wrong People
Abhi of Kumkum Bhagya doesn’t have the vision or sight to identify the right person. He in fact always ends up supporting the wrong person and fighting against the right. He has no idea that Tanu is fooling him and Pragya is trying her best to make him see the actual truth. Hope, Abhi tries to analyze things and see what is right and what is not.
Abhi Never Tries to Find The Truth By Himself and Gets Trapped by Others
He thinks Pragya cannot be wrong, however, he never tries to find out what the truth can be. He simply believes what is shown to him instead of trying to investigate things. While a normal person tries to get out from the problem, Abhi simply falls in the trap laid by his nemesis. Funny part is that he helps the person who is trying to harm him and fights who is trying to get him out of the problem.
Abhi Should Be Back to His Dominating Self
Nobody listens to Abhi anymore. He has become a mere puppet in the house not because Pragya is the owner but because he has chosen to be a fool in the drama. It is high time that Abhi comes to his dominating self in Kumkum Bhagya. Nevertheless, he is the man of the house.
Abhi Should Stop Listening to Others and Have a Mind of His Own
Abhi is a rockstar but how many times have we saw him listening to his heart? He always listens to others – Sometimes it is Dadi, sometimes it is sister AAliya, at times it is his wife Pragya and at times it is his gf Tanu, and then after listening to everybody, he is so confused that he has no idea what should be done.
Sorry to say but Abhi’s condition in Kumkum Bhagya makes us film pity for him. After all, where can we see a male protagonist in such a sorry state of affairs, and fully dominated by the female protagonist.
