In the previous article we mentioned 13 Good Things About Union Budget 2014 for Aam Aadmi, here we bring you not so good things, rather bad things about Finance Minister maiden’s Union Budget 2014.
1. Service Taxes on Online Advertising
For all those people who smartly advertised online and enjoyed good business, the government with its wicked eyes have caught you all red handed. So, now get ready to pay those STs before you begin to gain even a single customer through your ads online.
2. Increase in Tax Revenue by Implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST)
Ya, soon there will be a Good and Services Tax on your head, another VAT!!! It is new to our country but not the rest of the world. In Japan and Canada it is the minimum 5% whereas in Sweden it is the maximum 25%. In India, it is expected to be anything between 16 to 20% once it is finalized this year. So, we do import ideas from west, you see, besides the “western ideas and porn”
3. Radio Taxis
With Service Taxes on Radio Taxis, the rate of the radio Taxis are to shoot up especially those travelling in the UBER taxis, which not only provide maximum safety on the road, but also the best experience. Single Women who looked for this option, is more likely to be hit from this rise!
4. Mentions Nothing About Lay Offs in Subsidies
The moment the UPA Government doomed in the election, the first thing that came into the minds of middle class men was – “Ab Ki Baar Subsidy Se Chutkara Milega Yaar” but sadly, Arun Jaitley‘s maiden budget doesn’t mention anything in reducing it but instead adds Fertilizer subsidy. We hope soon, there is some news on the same!
5. Say No to Sutta, Daru, Tambaku?
As expected there is again a price rise on Sutta, Daru, Tambaku – Why can’t the government let the aam aadmi enjoy the simple pleasures of life? No, we can’t afford the costly items of pleasures like the ministers. Wonder, when will they follow the mantra of – “Live & Let Others Live”
6. 5 Percent Addition Tax on Aerated Water With Added Sugar – You Mean Pepsi & Coke
Uff, in summers, that was the aam aadmi’s rescue from the scorching heat. Of course, not everybody can afford beer or is open to sip beer. You know we will stick to aerated drinks – no matter what!!
7. Sukha Padne Walla Hai – Who will talk about it?
There are hundreds of crore allotted to many things which may take lots of time to implement, but all the states, especially the agriculture states are almost on the verge of facing “drought”. Now, what and where is the action?
8. “GAAR hai BEEKAR- Kab Nikaloge Isse Modi Sarkar?”
GAAR – General Anti Avoidance rules from the year of its announcement in 2012-13 budget still haunt the investors. Though the BJP disapproved and criticized it, nothing is said about scrapping it.” GAAR is only BEEKAAR, jaldi nikaalo isse MODI SARKAR!”
9. IIT & IIM’s for the top students – How about the Average Indian Student?
The good students are always favored from the parents, the teachers, the neighbors, and every single other person, now even the ministers seems to be favoring them. I see, these people will soon get into these colleges. However, how about the average Indian who scores less? How about quality colleges for them? No wonder, they will never get into these additional colleges. No, not being pessimistic, just realistic!
At the moment when the government is facing slow economy along with financial deficit, Rs. 200 crore for a statue gives a pricking sensation. Just imagine, your family is in financial crisis, where you somehow manage money for the basic amenities, but your wife wants to renovate the house. Face Palm!
