Why do we not feel responsible for our fellow-men?What does God say about our responsibility towards our fellow-men?

their own parents, guardians and teachers! Ruthless violence against helpless victims!  Where are we moving towards? Why are they doing what they are doing? What are the real reasons for these mindless crimes? Why every Indian seems to be angry with the other? Why do we not feel responsible for our fellow-men?What does God say about our responsibility towards our fellow-men?

‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’

We all know ,as per Bible,Adam and Eve were the first man and woman God made in the beginning of creation.Do you know that the first couple had 2 sons Cain and Abel?Bible says”Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man.” 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?

7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

Holy Bible Am I Not Responsible For My Fellow Man?

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”

Bible says that the reason for man having to toil hard for making a living is the Cain’s act of murdering his own brother over a petty issue. We observe the truth of this curse as we see all animals getting their daily food without toiling for it.

After this incident God becomes strict and says Gen  9.5 “…..And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.

6 “Whoever sheds human blood,

    by humans shall their blood be shed;

for in the image of God

    has God made mankind.”

God says that the reason why we should not kill another human being is because ‘he is made in the image of God’. So ,this reason is the most important reason for not killing a human being and country’s law is secondary in this regard. This means, if you are killing some one you are killing a GOD’S IMAGE!How disrespecting!

God also imposes this as command in His 10 Commandments given to Prophet Moses.’You shall not murder’ He commands sternly.God extends this responsibility later for fellow-men to a new level. He says love them as we love God!What a verse! Luke 10.25 says” And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” And He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?” And he answered, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE.”

Jesus Christ wants you to even forgive your enemies and love them. Matthew 5:44-45 “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”And He gives a beautiful reason for why we should love our enemies. He says God sends rain for both good and bad people! So let us follow God!

God also gives the following rules in Exo 23 for our  social relationships.

“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.

2 “Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd, 3 and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit.

4 “If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. 5 If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.

6 “Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits. 7 Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.

8 “Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.

9 “Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.

After all,why Should I Follow God’s Rules?

Simple! We obey our parents as they are our parents!God created you,me and our parents also!He knows what is best for us !We also know what He says is good for every one. We should also have ‘fear of God’What is ‘fear of God?’

angel of god Am I Not Responsible For My Fellow Man?

‘Fearing God means having such a reverence for Him that it has a great impact on the way we live our lives. The fear of God is respecting Him, obeying Him, submitting to His discipline, and worshiping Him in awe.’Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom’ says Holy Bible. So let us all cultivate ‘fear of God’ in our kids for a better rage-free ,loving India! Please share this as much as possible so that people will know God watches over all our action and we need to ‘fear’ Him above all.
