It is almost a year now of Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and the show has done a fabulous job in entertaining all its viewers. From thriller, suspense to action and emotion, the serial has enthralled us with everything. Being a historical serial, the show doesn’t have a permanent cast except the lead and few but all the characters (no matter how short their presence was) have done a splendid job.
However, on the occasion of its anniversary, we would like to list few changes that we would like to see in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat serial:
A Highlight on the Administration of the Mauryans
The serial from the start showed how the Mauryans had a strong secret agent base. It also highlighted the work of these secretive agents. No wonder they were so good in their work that their master would know everything through them. However, in the Takshashila plot, the whole “secret agent” theme seems to be given a rest which is nothing but wrong.
How come Samrat Bindusar has no idea that his son Rajkumar Ashok is alive even when Ashoka was successful in giving Keechak a huge blow in Takshashila. Besides, now that Ashoka has revealed his truth and every other kid knows that it is Rajkumar Ashoka who is shielding them, it is erroneous to show that Samrat Bindusar is unaware of what is going in Takshashila.
The show instead of neglecting these things should ensure that it highlights properly on the administration of the Mauryans. No wonder, the world wants to know about the same.
Introduction of Devi
We all know Ashoka married Devi first and then he met Kaurwaki. However, in the serial, there is no Devi though Kaurwaki has been introduced. Wonder, how the writers will correct this thing but it is high time that Devi be introduced in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat serial.
The Fight between Maharani Charumitra and Rajmata Helena
Let the two parties realize how corrupt the other is. We are eagerly waiting for that moment when Charumitra, Khalatak and Sushim will realize why Rajmata Helena is supporting Siamak so much. This major khulasa is long pending we just hope it sees the light of the day soon. No wonder that would create a rift between the two and also make the story all the more interesting.
The Rich Culture of the Mauryans
It would be interesting to see the culture, tradition and a detail on the Mauryan life in general as well. Besides, it is known that Bindusara and Ashoka shared a cordial relationship with the Greeks. We would also want the makers to explore this angle.
The Ashoka Shown in the Serial is Quite Emotional
In the historical evidence, Ashoka is portrayed as a strong and ruthless ruler. However, here in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat serial he appears to be very sentimental and emotional. He thinks from his heart rather than his brain. He is so emotional that even his nemesis make fun of him and try to outsmart him by his weakness. Perhaps it is the time that Ashoka outsmart others in the serial without exhibiting his weakness.
What do you think?
