A visually impaired woman who teaches English in Delhi University was defied a flat in Delhi just because she was a Muslim.
This 30 years old lady, Reem Samsuddin who was all set to move into the new flat with her mother alleged that despite she paid the quoted quantum of money in advance, she was turned down at the eleventh hour by the landlord.
“If I have to face this, what about thousands of students who come from various parts of the country? I believe the state you administer, the Delhi you promised, accommodates every other citizen – Bihari, Bengali, Malayali, Manipuri, Kashmiri, Goan, black, white, man, woman transgender, gay, blind, deaf, homeless…” the professor said..
She tells Mr Kejriwal that when she arrived in Delhi in February last year, “the whole state was booming with promises of AAP, how Delhi will change.”
Activist Shehzad Poonawalla has appealed to Mr Kejriwal, the National Commission for Minorities, the home ministry and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to take severe action. She has also triggered a #Justice4Reem campaign on social media.
What’s the crux of the matter is that why isn’t Kejriwal efficiently controlling those Delhi-issues which he can, instead asking for that which he hasn’t control over? How with no shame did he advertise a giant hoarding amidst the roads throwing sarcasm over Modi! How brazenly could he appeal Modi to devote his time to Delhi Police or hand it over to AAP! While he himself didn’t find it mandatory to introspect himself.
Sir Kejriwal, every time that you spotlight yourself in media to defocus ‘Modi’, would you ever care to take a note of your so-called foolproof governance?
