Hiten Tejwani created quite a buzz with the TV serial Kutumb – his debut as a main lead along with his wife Gauri Pradhan (then just a co-actor). Ever since then, he appeared in various TV shows especially those of Balaji Telefilms. No wonder, he became the poster boy of Balaji and also one of the loyalists like Shabbir Ahluwalia and Chetan Hansraj.
With 15 years in the TV industry, Hiten is now given older roles in the show –He played the older Manav in Balaji’s longest running show Pavitra Rishta, then as Ishani’s father in Star Plus popular show Yeh Hai Aashiqui and now he is playing Niranjan Chaturvedi, the rescuer of Gangaa in AndTV’s.

Hiten Made His TV Debut With Balaji’s Ghar Ek Mandir in 2000
In the year 2000, Hiten was launched in Balaji Telefilms’ Ghar Ek Mandir where he played the role of Gautam. The show featured Ram Kapoor and his wife Gautami in lead roles. It was one of the very first serial of Balaji Telefilms that took the audience by storm. The show was loved by all and so were the actors. Next, HIten did two more shows – Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli and Kahin Kisii Roz and later bagged Kutumb which made him a popular TV star.
For Straight 8 Years, Hiten did only Balaji Telefilms TV shows
From 2001 to the year 2009, Hiten did only Balaji telefilms – starting from Kutumb 1 and 2 to Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin Toh Hoga, Kkusum, Kavyanjali, Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai, Kasauti Zindagii Kay, Kumkum, Kitani Mohabbat Hai and even Ekta Kapoor’s Kahaani Mahabharat Ki where he played the role of Karna. In his 15 years career, Hiten has done more than 30 fictional shows excluding reality and non-fictional TV series.
He Also Appeared in Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan with Ekta Kapoor, Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor
When Karan Johar chose to invite some of the leading men of the Indian Television, he invited Hiten Tejwani Along with Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy. The trio was thankful to TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor for giving the platform to name and fame. Besides, KWK he was also a guest contestant in Shah Rukh Khan’s Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tezz Hain and hosted two shows – Nach Baliye 4 and Savdhhan India @ 11.
Hiten Tejwani Will Be Seen In a Bengali Film
Not just TV, Hiten also did several Bollywood Films on a regular basis. It all started in 2003 when Hiten bagged the role of Akash in Joggers Park, then in Balaji’s Krishna Cottage in 2004. Besides, he was also seen in 2007 film Anwar. Hiten also did a cameo in Akshay Kumar’s It’s Entertainment last year. He recently did a Bengali Movie Gangster which is scheduled for release in September 2015. He will be playing the role of the lead Actor’s father.
Hiten Blames Himself for His Failed First Marriage
Hiten Tejwani married Gauri Pradhan 11 years ago in 2004, however not many know the fact that this is Hiten’s second marriage. Hiten’s first marriage lasted for only 11 months. But, he blames himself for his failed first marriage. It was an arranged marriage.
