Born on February 23, 1982 in Delhi, Karan Singh Grover’s family moved to Saudi Arabia. There he studied in a CBSE school – IISD – International Indian School Dammam. In the year 2000, he moved to Mumbai to graduate in Hotel Management from IHMCTA popularly known as Dadar Catering College. Following which, Karan got a job of a Marketing Exec in Sheraton Hotels, Oman.
He Won the Title of Most Popular Model at Gladrags Manhunt Contest
In the year 2004, Karan Singh took up modeling. At Gladrags Manhunt contest in the same year, he also won the title of most popular model. Over the years, he did several ads out of which the prominent ones are – Rupa Frontline, Kajaria Tiles and Cleartrip.com.
His Debut Show Was a Balaji TV Series on MTV
In 2004, Balaji Telefilms picked Karan for their MTV series Kitani Mast Hai Zindagi. This was his first TV serial. He also did a fantasy Star Plus’ serial for kids – Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag where he essayed the role of Aman. Karan was then seen as Sharad Gupta in Balaji’s famous TV serial “Kasuati Zindagi Kay” where he was paired opposite Jennifer Winget (whom he married in 2012).
However, he became a household name with Star One’s popular TV show Dill Mill Gaye where he essayed the role of Dr. Armaan for a period of 3 years till 2010. Asad Ahmed Khan of Qubool Hai
The name Karan Singh Grover almost became synonymous to Asad Ahmed Khan, the role Karan portrayed in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai. His character and role was well appreciated by the audience and so was his chemistry with his co-star Surbhi Jyoti who essayed the role of Zoya Farookhi.
However, he was removed from the show by Zee TV after he was accused of un-professionalism. However, firing Karan Singh Grover from Qubool Hai wasn’t a wise decision as the TRPs decreased day by day, and viewers demanded his re-entry.
