Born on May 14, 1987 in the Bagh area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Paridhi Sharma completed her BBA from Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. Later, she pursued her MBA from Pune since the institute provided better placements.
Paridhi was always interested in acting but her parents preferred a corporate job for her. However, the budding actress managed to convince her parents. She then moved to Mumbai, and started her career with theater, even doing shows at Prithvi Theater.
Paridhi Sharma’s immediate family consists of her parents and a brother. Coincidently, her father holds a PHD in history.
The Stepping Stones in TV
Paridhi’s journey in the TV industry is not too old. It all began, four years ago in 2010 when Paridhi bagged the role in Star Plus’ afternoon show ‘Tere Mere Sapne’. Here she played the role of Meera/Rani, an antagonist. Yes, she started her career in TV as an antagonist. Next the young actress got yet another Star Plus show Ruk Jaana Nahi where she played the role of Mehek, the best friend of the leading actress.
The Major Twist in Paridhi Sharma’s Career
Ekta Kapoor was on a nationwide search to cast the leading lady in her historical drama Jodha Akbar. After auditioning almost 7000 girls, Ekta picked the charming Pari. Paridhi was given a long dialogue page and just when she finished it, Ekta Kapoor shouted out loud, “She is my Jodha!“
Paridhi’s Love Story – Know about Her Lover and Now Husband, Tanmay Saxena
Paridhi married Tanmay Saxena two years ago. However, it was not an arranged marriage. Their love story is quite filmy. The two first saw each other in a Blood Donation camp. This was the moment when Tanmay saw Paridhi and was in love with her . The couple were in same college. According to Tanmay, there were 800 plus guys in their college and almost everybody had a crush on her.
It didn’t take much time for Tanmay to propose Paridhi, but she declined. Later, he wrote a 35 page letter to her which described everything, his feelings as well as the narration of his meetings with her.
This letter impressed her, so much that she too realized her feelings for Tanmay. After dating for few years, the duo married. Today, the two are happily married. Tanmay works in a MNC – M&M Ltd, stays in Mumbai and frequently travel to Karjat to meet his wife.

For the role of Jodha, Paridhi underwent a 10 day training in sword fighting and horse racing.
Being a simple girl, she isn’t fond of heavy jewelry at all. However, she doesn’t mind wearing on the sets of Jodha Akbar as her character demands it.
Paridhi’s favorite color is pink.
Pari is a big foodie. She loves eating the roadside chaat but she isn’t much fond of momos – she finds the taste of momos very weird. Her favorite food is Dal Baati and her favorite dessert is rasgulla. And, and, and like her reel character, Jodha is pure vegetarian.
Paridhi doesn’t consume aerated drinks, caffiene or alcohol but consumes only natural juices.
Dancing and Painting is something which she loves doing when she is free.
Dieting is not her cup of tea, but being fit surely is. She practices yoga on a regular basis and also hits the gym regularly. ‘Eat Healthy and Stay Happy’ is what she strictly believes.
