Proteus Syndrome in an Indian boy cursed him with the world’s largest hands.

Mohammad Kaleem, who hails from Jharkhand, is the unfortunate 8 years old child with the world’s most elephantine hands. As proclaimed, 1/3rd weight of this 21 kg boy is what only his arms weigh. He is reported to be diseased with a disease called proteus. The first round of surgery of his hand was done at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, where a ray of hope was emitted by Dr S Raja Sabapathy’s words.

Mohammad kaleem’s miserable condition could not have reached this far, had the foreigners, who stumbled upon him had not taken his photographs and posted on social media. Kaleem came into the glare of media last year but his video went viral in recent past.

In January 2015, his fingers were brought down to half there’s size after the success of the operaion. His growth plates from the bone were also scraped to avert the further growth. He at present is in Coimbatore to undergo physiotherapy learning and master the use of his new hand. His left hand would soon be under medical knife and improve.
