The practice of Bhakti Yoga involves hearing about Lord Krishna from the Srimad Bhagvatam and the Bhagvad Gita and chanting Krishna’s names. Situated in the tranquil environs of the Hare Krishna Hill in East of Kailash, ISKCON temple Delhi lets you experience the True Krishna Consciousness.
To Witness the Gorgeous Images of the Hindu Dieties
The temple complex is designed by the renowned architect A,P. Khanvinde along with S.M. Jauhari, the associate architect. The towers of the temple also known as ”Shikharas” and are as high as 90 feet. Interestingly, if you see the temple tower from certain angles, it appears like the elegant peacock feather that Lord Krishna ornamented his headgear with. In addition, the use of red sandstone in contrast with the white structures all throughout the temple complex is appealing too.
Besides, the magnificent architecture, the thing that attracts many travelers and tourists is the divine effigies of Lord Krishna in various forms. The one that attracted me the most is the effigy below where Lord Krishna is seen in Vishnu Avatar reclining on the Sheshnag.
