The congress won the elections in Karnataka hands down. That’s great! Congratulations to them. Of course in proud Indian tradition, negotiations (read horse trading) has begun for the post of Chief Minister with Siddaramaiah and Kharge as frontrunners – good for them.
What this cartooon seeks to illustrate is that in the game of musical chairs , there will probably be no change felt for the populace at large. From the farmer to the large IT corporate (who are probably the largest taxpayers in India) – we can hardly expect any development , any investments in infrastructure. What we would however see (surely) is housing for the MLA’s (like Adarsh) and other corruption-related perks (i.e. the various Ministries).
The good news is consistency (in the system of corruption and bribes that is)
