Koffee with Karan is now in its 4th Season

The fourth season of Koffee With Karan began with a bang – the first episode on 1st December featured none other than the darling of the masses and Bollywood’s Rajinikanth, the inimitable, Salman Khan. While most people who feature on the show have been on it before and are there doing a second or third appearance, this was Salman Khan’s first.

The talk show follows the same format this time around – the lounge seating, the face to face conversations over sipped coffee. Karan Johar continues to ask the kind of personal, searching, audacious, sometimes risqué questions of his guests that other interviewers would typically steer clear of.  We start with a title song that sounds like it could be sung by Gary Lawyer (India’s Frank Sinatra) – and I say “sounds like” because I found no mention anywhere of who has sung the title song – not on the Star World Website nor their official YouTube Channel.

Popular concepts such as the Rapid Fire Round and the presentation of the Coffee Hamper that have been such an important part of the previous seasons are also a part of this season. The show is as enjoyable, as frivolous and as amusing as Karan Johar typically makes it. It makes for an interesting and entertaining hour’s viewing for one who is Bollywood inclined. Watch the show for the urbane, successful, famous people it features the verbal jousting, the evasion of questions, the tongue in cheek remarks, the snide asides and more!
