New year greetings to you.
IndiaOpines is providing a good platform to express reader’s views. Thanks for providing me space to add profile and scientific contributions.
There is a specific purpose why I am writing this letter to you. Popular opinion in the country is that no breakthrough, discovery or innovation that can win a Nobel Prize has been done by any native Indian scientist after Sir C.V. Raman won the Prize in 1930. It is true. However, fundamental physics discoveries were done as many as nine by native Indian and the work was published in journals in 2010, and 2013. People throughout the world watch and came to realize India has done physics discoveries through Google search.
1. Top Indian scientists keep silence and project in the media that no significant accomplishment has been made in science after Raman.
2. These research breakthroughs can bring glory to India, provided Government of India recognizes them. Someone has to recommend to the government. We do not have an organization to collect information on breakthroughs and innovations done, if any.
3. Ultimately, top physicists from institutions like TIFR are expected to show curiosity to know what these discoveries are?
4. Ultimately, these discoveries required to be nominated to Nobel Committee from India to get due credit.
Please let me know Sir if you can help in this matter by interviewing me.
