Politicians are known to be traveling the world over with taxpayers’ money and the media eagerly awaits for such opportunities to follow them for a free vacation and shopping spree. Recently, when PM Modi came to the US, the entire Indian Maskabaaj Media circus (Barkha Dutt, Sardesai et al) covered his every step venerating, genuflecting and glorifying his every move. This was mainly because he was barred from obtaining a US Visa for 12 years due to his “alleged role” in infamous 2002 Gujarat riots and was finally allowed to come to America.
Tata Group of companies are a real pride of India. Tatas have an absolute clean record of business ethics. Jamshedji Tata is known as the father of Indian industries. His elder son, Dorabji Tata was a big industrialist and philanthropist. Ratanji Tata, younger son of Jamshedji, was also a philanthropist and pioneer of poverty studies. Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata was one of the founders of Tata Group.
J R D Tata was an aviator and founder of Tata Airlines. Ratan Tata received Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and Padma Bhushan in 2000, the second and third highest civilian awards offered by the Govt of India. Yet, the for-hire Indian media did not cover this great event. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the great family of Tatas do not seek publicity and will never grease the palms of media. They missed a golden opportunity to give just honor and take pride in great family and sons of India.
Here are just a few links to show how widely this event was covered by unpaid US media. Check out pictures and videos to see what Mahan Bharat media deprived you of:
