A ‘fictional’ story of a one-sided media trial against all politicians of the country. The media is infallible, and there is no questioning it.

I, never ever, ever never, in my vision and wisdom, even in my wildest imagination thought that Supreme Court debates will be brought live to our living room, at 9 pm on the TV Channels almost all working days, for speedy trails and delivery of justice to save our Democracy and the Country!
The supreme Judge occupies his seat with ‘The Sheets of Charges’, starts the proceedings of the court, with an introduction of the culprit and grave atrocities committed by the culprit. Then he introduces his fellow colleagues (mostly fellow judges) and orders the culprit to be brought in front of the camera so that every citizen can see his face and recognize him. The judge is angry. He shouts, points fingers, shows sheets of papers, and slams them on the table in disgust. Then he faces the audience, address them “Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the charges for the day” and he reads out the charges from the papers, one by one.

Now the court opens wide and the trial begins. First, the Supreme judge will himself start up the questioning. No defence lawyers are allowed. Answers should be in strict ‘yes’ or ‘no’. The accused starts defending and then the Judge gets annoyed and becomes aggressive and with all his self esteem, reminds the accused and all the country that “I am, mind you, only I am the supreme moral authority who is sitting in the Judgement Seat of Vikramaditya and only I own the wisdom and audacity to determine what is right and what is wrong and who is right and who is wrong. So, don’t you ever provoke me” he warns, “you, the guilty, has to give answers to all my questions in clear admission and apologise, whether I will allow you to open your mouth or not, with unquestionable interruptions.” He continues, “Let me tell you in clear terms that I will never ever allow anyone to criticize media, because media is the Alpha and Omega. We are created to rule, rule all over the world. We have internationally approved infallibility and moral authority to judge you. We are omnipotent and omniscient. You will see our OB vans everywhere in every nook and corner of the world. We can go to anywhere without any body’s permission. Our foot soldiers will be in your bedroom and in your bathroom. They can surround you on the streets, in front of airports or anywhere like a pack of dogs with microphones and cameras, which will hit your head, your nose and lips, pushing and pulling, and sometimes you may suffocate, but take it because we are more in number. Our camera cables may strangulate you, but you have to bear with us. We can stop your vehicle. But you have no right to protest or defend. We will not allow you move an inch without giving us satisfactory answers. Nobody can stop us. We will chase you everywhere; chase every one of you because you all are guilty. You all are human and everybody commits mistakes. So it is for us to chase you down and bring to our court and expose you and sentence you.”

He gives a chance to his panel judges who were waiting impatiently to pounce on the accused with barrage of allegations, accusations, incriminations, condemnations and finally, indictments. As the Supreme Judge pronounces the verdict “guilty” satisfying and making everybody happy, saving the country, the court adjourns for the next day.

Now days, by fate, a Party called AAB and its leader- is the culprit, the accused, facing this ‘Media Trial’. So the trial is on every day, and he is sentenced to be hanged everyday since he keeps on committing some or the other grave mistakes which are dangerous for the democracy and the country.

This is a story. All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
