Mulayam Singh Yadav against SP-Congress alliance: On a day UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi held their first joint conference and a road show in Lucknow to display their sodality, SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav expressed his resentment over SP-Congress alliance saying he wouldn’t campaign for it in the state assembly polls. Mulayam said he was completely against it. The rift between Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav seems to have sorted, but the things to cause it do not.
Earlier the unprecedented alliance, the rift between Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav had created a lot of buzz in the corridor of Uttar Pradesh politics. And one of many reasons to reportedly cause the rift was the unison of consent over SP-Congress alliance. While Mulayam sees no point in forming the alliance, Akhilesh has his own rationality to favor it. Notably, Mulayam rejected any possibility of the alliance before being dethroned as the party president. Now, he against expressed his dissonance over the same.
Mulayam Singh was and reasonably is afraid of the fact that the alliance can cause an irreparable loss to the party, and for this reason he denies to campaign for it in the state assembly polls. He said that Congress had ruled the country for a long time and so had a part to make it laggard. This is the reason why Mulayam Singh Yadav is against SP-Congress alliance.
