A review of the premier episode of the bigger and better Nach Baliye 6 which is back with the hot judges of the previous seasons and 11 celebrity couples which have a different story to tell.

Nach Baliye is back with a bang this year with their 6th Season to capture the sizzling angle and performance by the off-screen couples on screen.  The season promises the show to be bigger, better and bolder of course with lot of romance brewing between the couples. The USP: High-Profile Judges or Couples?

The judges again are the same but with a different andaz; the star choreographer Terence Lewis with his all new 6 pack, Shilpa Shetty Kundra branding herself as thumko ki mallika and Sajid Khan displaying his comic sense with sensibility. As for the hosting, I only hope it stays funny without them being vulgar as the first episode displayed them romancing each other and even trying to kiss; oh what an irritating act! However, the USP of this season is not Shilpa’s Super se Upar compliment as a judge neither Terence’s 6 pack abs or the hosts comic timing but the 11 celebrity couples who are very distinctive and unique in their own ways; something which was never seen before. My heart really goes to all the bold, brave and beautiful contestants out there who broke the boundaries and misconceptions in some way or the other to be a part of this reality dance show making it about much more than just dancing.

Meet The Couples

Let’s first get on to the very confident, the husband and wife pair, Vinod and Raksha Thakur. Vinod is disabled and doesn’t have legs but still Raksha fell in love with him and they got married against society’s rules and taunts. Their dancing skills are as graceful and attractive as their unconditional love. Seeing them dancing as a couple is not only a pleasure but also an inspiration as the smiling face of the couple only motivates you to do something bigger and better in life.

Marrying a married man is never easy, neither is proposing to a single lady when you are a divorcee with kids. Still, Sanjeev Seth had a lot of guts to marry Lataa Sabhrawal whom he met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Keh lata Hai. The two love birds are now married with a child and have a happy family. The maa-bauji couple is reviving the same chemistry on the Nach Baliye sets too.

India with its culture and restrictions on Indian women, especially when they belong to certain families are way beyond reasonable. Even then the women, once married, oblige every tradition which is forced on them. One such woman is Shika Srivastav who was bounded by such restrictions. But here you will see her come out of that restricted zone to support her husband Raju Srivastav on stage. Another comedian seen on the list is Kiku with his wife, who became a part of the show simply so that she could get some of his time for herself. Similar is the story of Kanishka Maheshwari who stays in Mumbai while her husband Ankur Ghai stays in Delhi. However, in this case the two long for each other daily but only for the sake of their career, they are living miles apart. Ankur’s love for his wife is truly amazing. Such a supportive husband! Girls, we desire that too, don’t we? Amarpali Gupta and Yash Sinha, Gurmeet and Debina, Bruna Abdullah and Omar Farooq, Rakesh and Riddhiare four other married celebrity couples who are also seen here. The romantic, sizzling and hot chemistry between them will surely be something to watch as the show has been branded this time as:

Naach toh ek bahana hai, bus romance ko aage badhana hai.

The last two couples however are single couples. One among them is the famous Rithvik-Asha aka Arjun-Purvi Jodi of the Pavitra Rishta fame which won many awards as favorite Jodi for their beautiful on screen chemistry. No wonder, the entire country could even tolerate none other than Ekta Kapoor to unite them in the serial. Perhaps, this is the time we are in love for real. They are my favorite couple; I am surely looking forward to see them dancing together. Remember Master Chef last season, the dimple chocolate boy who won the title? Ripudaman Handa, precisely! Well he too is seen along with his girlfriend Shivangi Verma. Hats off to the couple which has come to such a platform prior to marriage when they are not even engaged and are so young. Every couple is unique in their own way and the way they are choreographed will only burn the stage on fire. Let’s watch out how Nach Baliye 6 keeps its promise to make the show bigger, better and bolder.
