Responding to a query on the controversial ‘ghar vapasi’ program Bhayyaji Joshi said that Hindu was a life style and not any particular way or worship. In that sense the RSS believed that all those living in this country and having faith in the ethos, values and tradition of this country were Hindus notwithstanding their ways of worship.

But the conflicts began when the change of worship was taken as discarding values, culture and tradition of the country. This was not acceptable. “We will not compromise with the life values, culture and traditions of our country. As such they should be allowed to stay here and the society and the government should take responsibility to settle them honorably.

Commenting on Goa Government’s decision to scrap the ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ holiday, he said that there was a need to increase the work days. “We have received a survey that underlined this scenario of holidays in India. Out of 365 days we have only 150 0r 180 work days. Therefore we need to change this work culture for better tomorrow”, he said.
