It’s true that Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account got hacked but what surprised me is that all Congress leaders have connected this hacking to Narendra Modi’s Digital India or cashless society. These are some of the tweets from Congress leaders.
Now let’s analyse it.
First, Assuming BJP is behind hacking is worst assumption to make. It’s stupidity of Congress social media team that Rahul Gandhi’s account got hacked not BJP. It’s Rahul Gandhi’s social media team incompetence that led to his own Twitter account hacking.
Second, This looks staged to me just to attack Narendra Modi’s dream of Digital India and Cashless society. This was only hacking of Twitter account not his swiss bank anyway. Just see all the comments of Congress leaders and think if these comments are weird or not.
In my opinion, Congress had just staged this hacking to do two things.
- To gain sympathy for Rahul Gandhi
- To attack Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India and cashless society.
It looks staged because of obvious reactions of Congress leaders blaming Narendra Modi and Internet safety especially in these times when Narendra Modi is talking about Cashless society and Digital India. It can be a genuine hack but by looking at Congress leaders reaction, it looks staged.
Third, All Congress leaders are behaving that it’s not safe to use internet. Of course, internet is not safe, that’s why we have security features. Just because your Facebook or Twitter account or even your bank account can get hacked doesn’t mean it will be hacked. Security features are there to prevent this. You or your social media team are responsible for your own account. It’s like saying Narendra Modi is responsible even if your social media handler is stupid enough to handle his account credentials.
Fourth, I had a conversation with an AAP supporter and he had even compared this small hacking to US Hillary Clinton’s email hacking and cashless society and told me how internet is not safe. First it’s an irony that people doing internet and telling everyone that it’s not safe. Second, this is called comparing a worst situation to a very small situation. Just because a Twitter account was hacked doesn’t mean everyone’s bank account will be hacked. This is called to hyper things to suit your own narrative.
Fifth, It’s bizzare to think that just because Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account got hacked, then all digital transactions are not safe. Congress is just spreading fear that anything can happen in a digital world. Should we stop doing digital transactions and net banking just because Congress Prince account got hacked. This weird comparison can only be done by Congress, no on else. Main aim of Congress is now to speed fear and panic among Indians. This is not the first time anybody’s Twitter account got hacked anyway.
Lastly, Now you can see whole opposition attacking Cashless society and Digital India vision. This is just a start. Wait, whole opposition will be changing this hacking narrative to how India will never be a Cashless society and not ready to be digital yet just to oppose Narendra Modi’s Government.
Example is here.
It’s wrong to link a Twitter hacking to digital transactions. Nobody is responsible if his own social media team can’t handle his account credentials properly.
