Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was appointed as the goodwill ambassador for South Korea. According to the reports, the actor received the honour for the next two years by Korean envoy to India Joonngyu Lee. The event was hosted in Gurgaon on April 11.
On this occasion, Shah Rukh Khan said that he flew to Delhi after wrapping up a song for his upcoming movie Happy New Year. Shah Rukh Khan is the first Indian to receive this honour. Earlier, in December 2008, the Malaysian government gave away title of Datuk to Shah Rukh Khan.
