We might hate her as Alia Mehra in Kumkum Bhagya, but the fact remains that Shikha Singh is one of the Talented TV actor of the current generation. Whether it is positive, negative or a supporting role, Shikha gives her best and is easily recognizable amongst the entire cast.

Shikha was born and brought up in Chandigarh. She graduated from MCM college in Economics. In the year 2006, Shikha even bagged the title of “Miss Chandigarh”. A year later, she shifted to Mumbai. Though she was into theatres, she never thought she would become a TV actress. She relocated from Chandigarh to Mumbai in 2007.
Shikha accidently started acting in 2007. Her debut serial was Zee TV’s Meri Doli Tere Angana where she was seen as Amrapali. Then in the same year she also acted in SAB TV’s Left Right Left where she essayed the role of Cadet Akriti Bhatt. This show brought Shikha into limelight.
Next, Shikha portrayed the role of a dacoit in Colors TV “Naa Aana Iss Des Laado” as Amba Sangwan. In the same time frame that is between 2011 and 2012, Shika also did another show Phulwa where she was seen as Gayatri. She also did an episodic role in Sony TV’s Adalat. She was also seen as a vamp – Meghna Singhania in Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka.
Besides, Shikha Singh was well appreciated in Mahabharat for her role where she played the role of Shikhandini. She also did Life Ok’s 2612/2613 where she essayed the role of Shahana.
Aliya Mehra in Kumkum Bhagya
Currently, Shikha is essaying the role of Aliya Mehra in Balaji Telefilms’ Kumkum Bhagya. Although she is a sister to the male protagonist she is a vamp in the show, who is ready to go to any levels in order to seek what she wants. She is a direct rival of Bulbul (Munal Thakur) and loves the same guy Purab (Arjit Taneja), though Purab has no feelings for her.
Shikha has earned a lot of appreciation for her negative image in Kumkum Bhagya, both from the viewers as well as critics.
She Is A State Level Basketball Player
Shikha is in love with outdoor sports and her childhood went in playing games. Her father encouraged her a lot in outdoor sports. She is a basketball state level player. Since, not many girls used to play this game, she would often train with the guys during her school days. Not just basketball she is also into many sports and activities like swimming, squash, yoga and cricket.

Komolika was a negative character in Balaji’s Kasuati Zindagii Kay. However, the character was famous as much as the main lead of the show. Everything that Komolika did was looked upon. From her bindis, jewelry to her style of wearing saris, everything was replicated by the viewers.
