All is not well with Shireen Mirza urf Simmi Bhalla of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Well, the bride to be while dancing for her engagement with Subbu, lost balance and twisted her leg. Poor Shireen has dislocated one of the bones in her foot. She is suffering from severe pain, and this is the reason why she flew off to Jaipur, her hometown as soon as she injured her leg.
Good for Shireen that the production house gave her holiday, else it would be really difficult for her to work and mend her broken leg. While Simmi takes rest in her hometown, here we share some of the unusual yet some interesting dilemmas faced by her professional as well as personal life:
No Male Actor Is Ready to Share Screen Space with Shireen Mirza
Tall and beautiful, Shireen’s height is close to 5’11, making her one of the tallest TV female stars. No wonder poor Shireen has hard time getting paired with her co-stars because of her height. On the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein it is all fun and games with respect to Shireen’s height. Raj Singh Arora who plays the role of Mihir Arora often jokingly complains that he doesn’t wish to shoot with Shireen as he looks too short in front of her. On the other hand, one cannot stop being amused when Shireen Mirza shoots with her onscreen mother Shehnaz Rizwan who is quite short in height.
…And Shireen was 5’5 when she was just 10 years old
Her height dilemma is not a new story but a thing ever since she was a kid. In fact, she was 5’5 when she was merely 10. Sadly, she was often left alone among her peers because of her height issue. Though, she has suffered a lot due to her height, Shireen has no qualms about it as she is happy with whichever way the almighty God has crafted her.
Though She is now excited for her double role as Shikandhi and Amba, she was Reluctant to Sign the Project Earlier
When she was offered the role in Epic TV’s Dharmakshetra she was happy. However, she wasn’t aware with the fact that her character demanded dual role. The moment she realized she had to play both the role of a female (Amba) and male (Shikhandi), she went in dilemma whether to do or not to do. When she consulted the same with her theatre gurus, they said it is an honour for any actor to play this role. It is after this that Shireen accepted her role. Today, she is more than glad that she said “yes” to the role.
She Once Lost a Beauty Pageant for not Dressing Appropriately
Not every time one can dress correct, however, though it doesn’t make much of a difference in everyday life, it sure can backfire when you dress inappropriately for a beauty pageant. That’s precisely happened with Shireen Mirza when she was 17 years old. No wonder, she lost the beauty pageant because of her wrong fashion statement.
