The focus is now shifted at Syria, a poor and weak country of Middle East which had refused to swear by them or toe their line. Nothing surprises the world more than the dichotomy that Saudi King Abdullah and Bibi Nitin of Israel would play tango so openly. Now Arab Amirs and Israel are working sincerely and honestly together to unseat Prez al Asad od Syria, either hook or by crook

They believe that this humanity was saved since they bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki with nuclear weapons. This intoxicated syndrome has never left them and it touched the heights of absurdity when they went into Iraq to search WMD’s few years ago. Beduin folk’s search for the aphrodisiac Desert PHAGGA or Truffle, the legume so dear to Arabs every year in spring season. The West comes to Middle Yeast for reassurance of their Gasoline Supply and hegemony. They pretended to search in Iraq for Weapons of Mass Destruction, something that didn’t exist and they knew it from the beginning. The wiser brigade of the West under the dominant and determined leadership of Pres Bush Junior sifted the sands.  They could find nothing and were made the laughing stock of the world. They found in the end,  the head the Saddam and his gang  who was, like Bin Ladin,  their own protégé. This time the alibi is different though the juggernaut is the same. They wanted, then, to teach a lesson to their ingrate babies Al Qaida and Taliban. Ironically, they handed Iraq on a beautiful platter to Iran. It was the reality on the ground.

Syria Map Syrian Military Adventure Wont Be A Cake Walk

Now the focus is shifted at Syria, a poor and weak country of Middle East which had refused to swear by them or toe their line. Nothing surprises the world more than the dichotomy that Saudi King Abdullah and Bibi Nitin of Israel would play tango so openly.  Now Arab Amirs and Israel are working sincerely and honestly together to unseat Prez al Asad od Syria, either hook or by crook. Time is running out and the die is cast. A US-led coalition is ready with cruise missiles for bombing attacks on Syria. If the time-table remains loyal, most probably this week would turn out to be the week of new military adventure.

Meanwhile, mainly Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the West’s most loyal puppets after Israel, have already unzipped their Petro-Dollar chest.  They have been busy throwing plethora of financial incentives and threats at the Russia to persuade them to drop their support of Syria. According to a Reuters news release Saudi intelligence head, Prince Bandar bin Sultan offered a $15 billion weapons contract to Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on July 31st. Apparently. Russia rebuked as the precondition was a commitment that Moscow would let go its existing arms contracts with the Syrian government in Damascus. According to a report in ‘London Telegraph’, Saudi Arabia also secretly offered Russia a chance to ‘control the world’s oil market’ in some type of strategic alliance between OPEC and Russia, and to ‘safeguard’ Russia’s present and pending gas contracts in the Mediterranean. The carrot is there and horse is there.

Interesting to read the comment of Prince Bandar:

‘‘We understand Russia’s great interest in the oil and gas in the Mediterranean from Israel to Cyprus. And we understand the importance of the Russian gas pipeline to Europe. We are not interested in competing with that. We can cooperate in this area,’’ he said, purporting to speak with the full backing of the US.”

The sword is hanging for Syria. According to political scientists, Bandar is indirectly saying that there can be ‘‘no escape from the military option’’ should Russia turns down this Saudi offer. And here is Saudi Mafia style political threat or real-politik. ‘‘I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the Games are controlled by us,’’ he allegedly said. Prince Bandar went on to say that, “Chechens operating in Syria were a pressure tool that could be switched on and off.

According the newspaper reports, Saudi intelligence, led by Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, is bringing the militants fighting the Syrian forces under the umbrella of the al-Nusra Front. The report said Prince Bandar is organizing these terrorists through Jordan and Lebanon. “Thanks to funding from the General Intelligence Department (of Jordan) and support from the Saudi Intelligence in Lebanon, al-Nusra was able to swiftly arm its forces, and make the Syrian regime suffer painful blows through its expertise in Iraqi bombings,” the Intelligence Online report noted. Bandar bin Sultan, who is Tony Blair’s partner in crime, was made the Saudi intelligence chief on July 19 at the height of the Syrian crisis, not only to strengthen the arming of the terrorists against Syria’s Bashar al-Assad regime, but also to bring to the fore an anti-Assad, Saudi-run administration in Lebanon, bordering Syria. The objective is to push more arms and terrorists inside Syria.

War of Iraq was nothing but a show engineered and financed at the highest levels, and it certainly had nothing to do with the ‘WMD’s’. In Syria again it has nothing to do with Chemical Weapons.  A humanitarian intervention would be a decption. It has everything to do with threats, bribes and backhanders used to nail down the future gas supplies to Europe and the global oil markets.

Now let see the history of Russian involvement. On Jan. 31, Russia had joined with China to block a plan presented to the U.N. Security Council by Morocco and supported by the Arab League that called on Assad to hand power to his deputy. He was supposed to call a general election. If Assad did not comply within 15 days, the resolution threatened undisclosed “further measures.”  Moscow already had vetoed one resolution. As a sign of gun-boat diplomacy Moscow sent an aircraft-carrying missile cruiser to Syrian waters in a show of support and shipped his troops a consignment of ‘Yakhont’ cruise missiles.

Russia has strategic interests in Syria.  ‘Tartus’ is the sole remaining Russian naval base on the Mediterranean, currently being refurbished by 600 Russian technicians.  Russia has a real commercial interest in Syria to sell arms to Damascus worth $5 billion. Having lost $13 billion due to international sanctions on Iran and $4.5 billion in canceled contracts to Libya, Russia’s defense industry is already feeling the pinch. Besides arms exports, Russian companies have major investments in Syria’s infrastructure, energy and tourism sectors.

To conclude, it would not be a cake walk like Iraq or Afghanistan this time for West. They are not yet safely out of the previous quagmires.
