Normally the initial period is of two weeks but in rare cases it can even extend up to 10 months. HIV can happen even without exhibiting the initial illness. If the symptoms of HIV are acute, the syndrome is called as the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome or AIDS. This disease does not have any permanent cure.
